It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything and a lot has been going on in our world. Well I’m definitely not an authority on all things so I only post ‘as and when’ I feel led to do so – I don’t always get that quite right, but we are all a work in progress.
As I was reading through Mark 3 early this morning, I marvelled at Jesus’ choosing of Judas to be one of the twelve disciples. Let’s be under no false illusions here, Jesus was not taken by surprise at Judas’ actions, Jesus is our all-knowing God. So why choose Judas? (This was also mentioned by my Pastor in today’s sermon.)

Well, if you are a bit like me, you will usually ask God first and find yourself exploring commentaries and books to get a deeper understanding. I won’t say too much as I ended up listening to the author and renowned Pastor John Piper on the matter, of which he has done a brilliant job in tackling this question.
I will say that I was edified and very reflective/contemplative on what was shared. The link to the audio and transcript is here (click link – opens in a new window) – Why did Jesus choose Judas?
I hope that you are as blessed by John Piper’s short exposition on the question as I was.
God bless you,

1 Thessalonians 5:21 (New Living Translation)
