The Ukraine – Nebuchadnezzar Hope

Politicians talk on, news cameras roll on/stream. What are Christians to do? PRAY!

I am personally praying that God will humble President Putin’s pride and arrogance just as God did with King Nebuchadnezzar, the ruler of the most powerful nation on earth in and around 605 B.C. Nebuchadnezzar, like any narcissist sought to take the lands, wealth and freedoms of others in order to pursue his own interests, often thinking of himself as a ‘god’.

Well, Father God has tried and tested ways of dealing with those who see themselves as gods and are in positions of responsibility over others. Nebuchadnezzar’s humbling can be read about in Daniel 4:4-37. There are many other examples and another that comes straight to mind is King Herod who we read about in Acts 12:23:

Instantly, an angel of the Lord struck Herod with a sickness, because he accepted the people’s worship instead of giving the glory to God. So he was consumed with worms and died. (Acts 12:23)

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not asking for the death of anyone, but I am asking that God will intervene and fight on behalf of the innocents who always inevitably get caught up and pay the price for the decisions and pursuits of the powerful. I’m praying that with the small army that Ukraine have against the masses of the Russian military force, that we will see a David and Goliath situation or a Gideon and his army of 300 (Judges 6).

Also recognising that I see from a small view perspective in comparison to God’s omniscient viewpoint, I ask that His will be done 👍🏾

I am mindful that much of what we see has already been foretold. The video below is of a Cindy Jacob interview on Sid Roth’s show ‘It’s Supernatural’ where she speaks on the prophetic words that God shared with 113 prophets that came together in November 2021 in Dallas, Texas at the Global Prophetic Summit:

Let’s not fear but pray. Satan wants us to fear because when we do fear we become powerless, but he knows that when we take our stand as the body of Christ, in line with God’s will and purposes, we can see mountains moved.

Keep praying for the God’s will to be done in this situation.

God bless you 🙏🏾👍🏾

‘But test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.’
1 Thessalonians 5:21 (New Living Translation)
