God has a great sense of humour

Say WHAT???

So the link below was the reason for my surprise…

Review – North London Skydiving Centre

Following my milestone Skydive and the conversations following it including my blog (The Date – Friday the 20th September 2019. The Cause – Defeating Fear in my Year of Jubilee), I found myself on the other side of 50. I was now going forward into my new space with God and found myself in a new level of warfare with the enemy as I started to walk out in my new Canaan.

The battlefield of the mind had begun (2 Corinthians 10:3-5), only now I had been fighting from a higher level. It was not totally unexpected to be battling, as Satan always fights you hard both before and just after your challenge in order to steal away the joy of and belief in the victory you have had over him in Jesus’ name. So as I surveyed my new landscape and the fielded the inevitable questions on whether I’d skydive again I was able to happily say something along the lines of “not unless God calls me to do it again”, thinking that it was never likely to happen. I even remember saying to my wife that it felt strange being on the other side, as I found myself in anticipation of what God may have in store for me next.

Well back to that Skydive review… When checking my voicemail on my mobile today I was almost knocked to the ground when I heard the North London Skydiving Centre informing me that my review had won in a prize draw and yes, you got it, the prize is a free tandem jump!!!

God has a great sense of humour!

So the only thing left for me to prayerfully consider is:

“To jump or not to jump, that is the question…”

I believe I already know what God is saying and I think He has a pretty big smile on His face right about now – don’t you just love Him 🙂

God bless you,

‘But test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.’
1 Thessalonians 5:21 (New Living Translation)
